Chicago based producer Edamame takes us on a journey to the Central African Republic with his brand new song, Bayaka. The track is aptly named after the Bayaka pygmies of Africa, who are notoriously known for their unique and complex style of polyphonic music (as pointed out by the documentary sample in the beginning of the song). The smooth beat mellows over a sexy, repeat vocal sample that seems to never get old, delivering an incredibly tribal vibe. If the goal was to recreate the Bayaka’s polyphonic music through the wonders of modern technology, Edamame met it and then some.
