In what sounds like some long overdue news, Common has announced a brand new hip-hop festival in the windy city. AAHH! Fest will take place in Chicago, IL at Union Park on September 21st.
Common, a Chicago native, will be performing along with a very impressive list of friends. Lupe Fiasco, De La Soul, Jay Electronica, MC Lyte and Lil Herb will all be apart of the festivities along with an advertised “surprise special guest”. If that’s not enough for you then you’d probably be interested to know that comedian Dave Chappelle will be serving as host. I don’t care who you are, you like Dave Chappelle.
The festival will also be split up into 2 portions with an early community showcase taking place from 10am – 1pm. The showcase will be curated by Rhymefest and will also feature Diggy Simmons. Tickets for the community showcase are only $20 before fees. The rest of AAHH! Fest will start at 4pm and tickets for that start at just $55 before fees (Dave Chappelle alone is worth $55). There are also ticketing options for reserved seating, VIP and general admission into both the early and late show.
All of this information and more can be found on AAHH! Fest’s official website.
