One of the best electronic music festivals in the country is set for another great year in Colorado. Sonic Bloom 2014 will now call South Park, CO it’s new home. That’s right ladies & gentlemen, we’re literally going down to Sonic Bloom this year and we will definitely have ourselves a time. The American Safari Ranch is the new festival grounds and is conveniently located just 75 minutes outside of Denver. The biggest highlight of the new location has to be the 360° panoramic views of Colorado’s breathtaking mountains. If seeing your favorite music while camping with your friends is a cake then all those mountains are the sweet, sweet cherry on top of it all.
One thing that hasn’t changed when it comes to Sonic Bloom is the quality of the lineup. Headliners for this year include the man, the myth, the legend, Tipper (2 sets), EOTO and Opiuo. It doesn’t stop there as the rest of the lineup is filled with an eclectic mix of the best in glitch hop, dubstep, jamtronica and beyond. Mainstays in the electronic scene like The Polish Ambassador, Michal Menert, Ott, Random Rab, Break Science and Vibesquad will surely draw huge crowds and deliver spectacular performances because Sonic Bloom is definitely a festival where artists bring their “A” game. Then you got the artists on the come up like Desert Dwellers, Kalya Scintilla, Zoogma, Dopapod and Kaminanda who have been making names for themselves and will use this summer to hopefully catapult them into the next tier of performing artists. We personally can’t wait to see a very rare performance from Zilla (Vibesquad & EOTO) and to see our good friend D.V.S*, who makes some of the most melodic beats around. If the lineup isn’t already stacked enough for you there’s still one more wave of artists coming including a headliner. We really hope it’s Papadosio but that’s just us (and pretty much all of Colorado).
Sonic Bloom is set to be even more magical than usual this year and if you like to tour the festival scene and have yet to experience it then this is the year. Tickets are still available on the official website and include VIP and lodging options. June 19-22 there is no doubt that South Park, CO is going to be the place to be. We’ll see y’all in the mountains with Mr. Hat by our side. Ray John!
